Ash Shore R1/T2/S2: So… That Happened

Rhythm 1/Turning 2/Season 2

Since Naomi was sick I headed out of there early and thought great I’ll get to spend some extra time with this household since I was only planning to play them half a day anyway.  Stephon was across the street playing with a toy that I think his sister had left on the sidewalk during the last height adjustment.

Right after I got there Cecilia went to sleep in the tent that I’d left out back and I’d hoped something might happen between these two.

First, Stephon was hungry.  The mushroom he was given to tide him over was not appreciated.

Then, he was tired and kept trying to go to sleep in the tent as well since I’ve revoked their sleeping in bed autonomously rights since they do it with the tiniest bit of yellow energy.  Fine!  Go to bed then.

Tanya woke up before the others and went and did some collecting while they slept.

In front of the toilet?  I feel like they play with the toys way too often.

As usual, Tanya returned feeling all confident about her finds.

More potatoes.  Yum.  I actually screenshotted the different options for meals that they don’t normally have the ingredients or maybe the skill for and plan to stock them up.

I couldn’t figure out why when I had her get plate together or whatever it’s called, a bunch of them showed up and grabbed some.  That’s the problem with the club system.  It constantly starts a Party club meeting when I take sims to the park.  It’s not even marked as the meeting place!

I was really surprised to see that Winston showed up!  I really do think it has something to do with the club meetings.  He was in the Imagine-ary group.

A/N: Okay, so Tanya and Stephon weren’t getting any whims for each other.  Which is the only time I actually initiate a conversation… ever.  The only whims he was getting were ones like “play with the dollhouse” and hers were like “find a crystal.”  They’re both loners and kept getting tense.  I feel like the fact that I prefer family play is finally starting to become more evident.  I’d already planned to only play them half a day so off I went.

Over to Sophia and Kyra.  I must have marked them as unplayed when the game made more townies.  This is what the game does to all of my unplayed sims.  They roam the streets like this at night.  Drives me nuts.  I know it happens to other people but still, people who don’t seem to notice it for whatever reason want to argue that it’s mods causing it.  There are even settings in MCCC to stop it at festivals!  It’s not in my head.  *cry*

I’m still feeling lukewarm about the ROS rolls.  I have one called “look what washed up.”  Every time before this that I’d done a roll I got none.  This time I got the washed up one with Sophia chosen.  I ended up going into my ‘restricted items’ list for my Build a City Challenge modded version that I gave up on and copied and pasted it into a random thing picker.  I got a chair so then I went into the chairs and counted and rolled for that and then rolled for the color.  Viola!  Sophia found a chair on the beach.  Thrilling.

I decided to send Kyra to school for a few hours.  Vicente is always on the typewriter.  His skill must be really high!  Maybe that’s what I’ll have him do.  He’s really creative which is funny since Lucca is a genius savant.

A quick hello to Rainbow before she goes.  And then, all of the rest of my plans for the day went up in flames!

I’d planned to have Sophia invite Adan to the park.  I don’t normally invite anyone but I’ve been doing it with them because, as you know, I’m not a huge fan of her.  But, he wasn’t on her list of options.  I thought well, maybe a date then?  She didn’t even have an option to ask anyone on a date!  I was totally confused!  I looked in her relationship panel and he wasn’t there!  I switched to him and it was the same!

I have no idea what the heck happened?  Remember when Isaac had to introduce himself to Casen?  And I thought maybe they’d talked before but somehow it didn’t register.  Or when Erick and Maxwell had to introduce themselves to most of the school kids?

Then, I looked in Sophia and Kyra’s pet relationships and Fish and Rainbow aren’t there!  They lived with them!  After that, I went to a few other households and none of them knew any pets beyond their own!  I totally broke down.  Once I’d calmed down I decided to just end the round here and started doing the height adjustments.  While in those households I checked everyone’s relationships and almost all of them know several pets and all the rest still have their romantic relationships intact.  So, I feel a bit better but I’m still confused.

This morning, I went through all of my mods.  I was actually pretty shocked that I don’t have nearly as many as I’d thought that I did.  I read each one of them.  I have NO relationship mods.  I didn’t think I did.  Other than MCCC which I have set to the game defaults I can’t imagine what could be causing this and the worst part is that I can’t test it!  How many days of test play would it take for this to happen?  So, I’m just going to keep an eye on everyone’s relationships.  I have no idea what to do about Sophia and Adan, though.
