Ash Shore R1/T1/S1: The Days After the Burnings

Rhythm 1/Turning 1/Season 1

Reminder: There are 4 seasons in a turning.  Each turning has a dominant season.  The current turning it is summer.  There are 4 turnings in a rhythm.  A sim can expect to see two full rhythms in their lifetime.  These are the first days after the rhythms or as the calendar would call it: Ensuing Onward Rhythm.

These 20 sims were grouped together after the burnings.  There are other sims in the lands of Ash Shore of course but for now, we will follow these.  As would be expected the families stuck together for the most part at first.  Little Darren is more like his sister Scarlett who gives him a hug under the watchful eye of mom.

Little by little the sims spread out and began chatting with each other.  Here you can see Dorothy having a chat with Judy and Naomi.

The siblings are still sticking to each other.  Brock and his sister Keira and the twins with their younger brother.

And our youngest resident (by only one day!) Kyra has a chat with mom while Judy and Mack wait their turn.  I knew it would be no time before she was the center of attention!

It seems our other teen Tanya has decided to chat with Brock.  Teens gotta stick together ya know!  Aimee stood there for a bit but never joined the conversation.  She surely proved that she’s not a very social sim during these days.

Darren was hungry so mom cooked up some burgers.  They weren’t very yummy I don’t think!

Finally, everyone seems to be settling in and getting to know each other.

The camp was a bit of a mess.  Luckily the next delivery to them included a trash can!

Both Mack and Drew, our resident vegetarians, woke to vomit after eating the burgers.  Sorry guys, beggars can’t be choosers!  Hopefully, the strawberry and apple plants will be ready soon.  After using the facilities Mack decided to clean up a mess one of the kids had made.

And just when everyone had finally all fallen asleep Kyra was hungry.  Luckily, there were some burgers left.

Dorothy, you know you can sleep in the tent right?

Really, guys, there are 5 tents right there!  As you can see in the background the delivery from the city arrived with some showers.

The restless teens made use of their energy making a round of the area finding collectibles.  They are hoping that the city will take some of them in return for more much-needed items.

As usual, Kyra is the center of attention.

Naomi feels the need to share her insecurities with everyone.  She is also sad quite often from seeing Taylor and Lucia together.

Scarlett was entranced by the bonfire!  She just stood there watching it laughing.

Kenneth caught some dragonfruit while fishing to avoid everyone.  He also caught a cowberry!

Fresh fish for dinner today!  Another item that arrived were journals for the kids.  They need something to keep them busy since there is no school for them to go to during the day yet.

They already had a washbasin for the clothes but it was kind of pointless without a clothesline… or the showers of course.

I think Tanya suspects her grandmother Cecilia of cheating!

Neat-freak Judy insisted on hanging the clothes herself and barely let Lucia finish washing them!

Don’t think that Kyra is the only toddler in the spotlight!  Darren’s just more subdued and sticks mainly with his family.

Mack was delighted in the morning to find that the fruits were finally ready to eat!  Poor guy was starving.

Drew was relieved as well.  The two were making frequent trips to vomit and I’m sure they weren’t feeling well after all that!  I think Kyra was trying to get Mack’s attention she doesn’t look happy.

A bit of friendly banter.

Darren wanted to give Cecilia a hug.  So sweet.  Mack is waiting his turn for Darren’s attention as well.

Everyone grouped around the bonfire.  Sophia and Judy are already friends.  Perhaps it’s their shared love of animals?  Although, do cat and dog lovers get on like cats and dogs?  Haha!

The sims didn’t really spend much time doing anything but chatting.  Which is a good thing.

As everyone trickled one by one into the tents for the night Brock decided to do some more laundry.  Always nice to see a teen taking some initiative.  He often cleans the other kid’s messes as well.

Our new residents are all asleep.  Tomorrow they will be given land to make a new start on but nobody wants to be alone so they’ll be grouping up for now.

Extras…

This starting shot just shows the chaos that will begin… naw, it was fine.

Handy dandy cooler mods.  One holds the foodstuffs and the other the fish.

I found a mod to keep the kids out of school.

And was thrilled to see this!  Food!

I’d had the kids travel hoping to get the school thing to work.  This is when I decided they all needed journals with the supplies!  Yikes.

    1. LOL! She has the jealous trait so it should be interesting to see how her love life goes. I need to open up immigration tho because there’s nobody other than this group to date!

  2. You writing is so calming and enjoyable, I really like reading your stories. I love the set-up of the camp! Also, you have two Kira’s in your story, which I love (I hardly ever meet or read about someone with my name), although they’re not spelt the same 😁 Really love the premise of this story, and all the effort you put into it.
